Nature Connection, Resilience

Our program is built around connecting with nature, ourselves, and each other. Each day, children will hike, climb, swim, cook, learn about plants, and hear stories. If we have one goal, it’s to ignite your child’s imagination and connection to nature that surrounds them. Our program is rooted in the Waldorf method that teaches confidence in children of all ages through time in the outdoors.

Meet Our Guides

Melanie Kidd and Jenna Frank have a passion for the wilderness, and for bridging the gap between children and nature. For the last 7 years, Melanie and Jenna have taught outdoor education programs at Waldorf schools in the Bay Area, Oregon, and Costa Rica. As an early childhood teacher, Melanie bridges her passion for nature and storytelling into lessons, which helps children feel confident and independent both outdoors and with themselves. As an urban farmer at Golden Bridges School, Jenna brings a deep connection to plants, nature and food. They both share a deep love for backpacking and creating amazing experiences in nature.

“I would never miss an opportunity to sign my daughter up for a camp with Jenna and Melanie! They are so thoughtful and put so much intention and beauty into everything they do. My daughter has had so many amazing experiences under the loving guidance of Jenna and Melanie, they are truly the best!”
